1997 jaguar xk8 in Rumney, Cardiff for sale

here i have for sale my beautiful jaguar xk8. the car is a 1998 4.0 and is in excellent condition inside and out. it has been maintained to the highest standard and has had no expense spared. in the last 6 months it has had; replacement and uprated timing chains with steel tensioners and guides so will be good for the rest of the life of the car. an alloy thermostat housing again removing another common fault they can ordinarily suffer with. while it was in I also had the 5 speed auto box replaced with a reconditioned unit and new torque converter as the old box was slipping slightly . all work was carried out by classic performance jaguar independent specialists. apart from maintenance and future proofing the car it has also had some update modifications. the dated cream leather seats have been replaced with the newer facelift black leather interior and all the wiring had been done so all the functions of the seats including the adjustable headrests are working. the car has just been fitted with a brand new set of tyres (not part worn) 255/45/18 rear and 245/45/18 front. the wheel track of the car has been widened by a total of 46mm on the front and 86mm on the rear to give the car a far more aggressive stance. the wheel geometry has been adjusted accordingly and the car is handling superbly. in terms of the body it is in very good condition for an aging car an has had extensive rust and corrosion treatment and prevention,. this (unlike most xk8s) has absolutely no rust. it is solid on top and underneath . i would recommend getting under the car to see just how clean and rust free she it, you really wont find many in this condition under the skin. the look of the car is superb with very little in the way of blemishes, the only part of the car that could do with touching up is the front bumper. it has a few stone chips and a small scuff on the corner but its never bothered me . it has 114k showing 6 months mot 6months tax. everything works electronically . every button on the dash does what its supposed to. the next job i was going to do was the rear shock bushes. they are another common fault and i have the uprated replacement part that will be included in the sale. not a big job for any half decent mechanic. but that is literally the only thing that might need doing this car has also had some exhaust work done by pro speed . its sounds truly awesome on throttle without being droany on the motorway. very nice exhaust system indeed. overall a beautiful car in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition that's been properly looked after. pics to come soon may consider px on the rite car £3895
